Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at the Ibis in Brussels left me with a mixed bag of impressions. The complimentary breakfast experience was unfortunate. A lackluster spread with subpar offerings awaited me in the morning. However, my disappointment dissipated as I ventured out into the culinary wonderland surrounding the hotel. Within a stone's throw, I discovered culinary gems such as Fait Maison and Sunny Bao, promising a feast for the senses. To my delight, Ashok's Indian Restaurant, just a hop away, offered a sensory explosion with its authentic flavors and inviting ambiance. The tantalizing aroma of spices beckoned me in, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.Despite the culinary letdown at the hotel, the vibrant food scene in the vicinity more than made up for it. The Ibis might not excel in breakfast fare, but its strategic location amidst a gastronomic oasis ensures that every meal outside its doors is a culinary adventure waiting to happen.
